Amateur Pet Transport

Your pet, riding with a
Pet-Owning Country-Traveler.

Our drivers are the wanderlust kind; RV and van-lifers already crossing the country with their own pets riding shotgun. When their route lines up with yours, BINGO. Some details, some money, then some relaxing.

Every driver is vetted, USDA certified, and a current pet owner. This is transportation by an amateur, but an amateur who travels with a pet of their own, and has space to bring yours along for the ride.

The details, and nothing but the details

We are cheaper because our drivers are not running a business; they will already be traveling, and your pet is welcome company. The trip may take a bit longer, and will cost a bunch less. If you are relaxed with your schedule, this may be a good option for you.

Cost
Roughly 30% cheaper than a professional shared-ride transport
Speed
Roughly 25% slower
Pickup window
10 days minimum; the window can be longer, never shorter
Coordination
You negotiate the specifics directly with your driver
Health certificate
A CVI, issued within 30 days of delivery, or within 10 days if the destination is California

Expectation

Remember to send food with your pet, and be sure to tip! Please print the health certificate and have it ready at pickup.

What sets us apart

Our drivers are not trying to make a living from this. They live in their rigs and roam by choice, not managing a dozen stops or racing a schedule. Their attention can stay more on your pet, and less on a route quota.

Driver earnings through our platform are capped at $5,000 per year. That cap is deliberate. It keeps this a favor with a fee, rather than a job.

  • Scheduling is easy. A generous pickup window means far less back-and-forth to lock in a trip.
  • Your driver owns pets too. Every driver travels with a pet of their own, so yours is in familiar hands.
  • A real phone number. If something urgent comes up mid-trip, you can reach a person, not a chatbot.
  • Legal. We stay above board. USDA Certifications with the required crates and walking schedule (every 4 hours for dogs...no walks for cats, sorry).

Required paperwork

You’ll get the health certificate (CVI) from your veterinarian before the pickup window starts. Remember this is not a rabies vaccine certificate. This is a health inspection certifying good health. This is legally required in nearly every state. Reptiles and animals of the order Rodentia are the only exceptions.

Who this suits best

  • Low-need pets. Animals that travel easily and require no specialized handling en route.
  • Hard-to-reach destinations. Low-population areas that commercial transporters skip or surcharge, the kind of places our drivers may be wanting to roam anyway.
  • Flexible schedules. A 10-day minimum pickup window brings much-needed flexibility to the drivers.
  • Light communication. This is not a service with hourly tracking updates.
  • Smaller budgets. The affordable option, not the fastest one. Quality is a given.
